GRADE 5
REQUIRED SUMMER READING

Grade 5 students are required to read FOUR books over the summer. Guidelines are as follows:

1. Read all three required summer reading books (see below). Prepare to be assessed on each required book upon your return to school.

2. Read one book of choice from the Grades 5 & 6 Suggested Summer Reading List. Prepare to be assessed on this book upon your return to school.

3. If you would like to start the school year with extra credit, you may complete Mrs. McGraw’s OPTIONAL Summer Reading Review for your choice book, which may be accessed here: Mrs. McGraw’s Summer Reading Assignment. If you choose to do this optional extra credit book review, it should be completed BEFORE returning to school in the fall.
